Onur Atilla started to work in the Institutional Investors Department of the Capital Markets Board in 2001, and served as the Deputy Head of the Department between 2011-2016 in the same Department. He served as the Head of the same department from 2016 until he joined GSG Attorneys at Law.
During his time in Capital Markets Board, he actively participated in the establishment of real estate and private equity investment funds and partnerships, portfolio management companies, exchange traded funds, hedge funds and portfolio custody institutions; in the dematerialization of investment funds shares; in the Capital Market Law studies in line with European Union regulations; in the activation of the private pension automatic participation system, the Turkey Electronic Fund Trading Platform (TEFAS) and the Pension Fund Trading Platform (BEFAS).
He has graduated from the Middle East Technical University Department of Economics (Major) and Business Administration (Minor) in 2001, and completed the master's program in International Economics at Gazi University in 2005.
He is fluent in English.
